Erik Karlsson. He’s played 7 NHL seasons and still hasn’t won it, pretty sure he’s due.
No but really, I’m not yet acutely aware of all the incoming rookies. I’d hedge my bets on Matthews for lack of creativity (both myself and, honestly, many of the voters). But if we’re looking at the most recent draft group as a starting point, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Laine having a good shot at the Calder given that WPG has the better team right now (as a supporting group).
